Don't mind me, I'm just anchoring some links here for some purposes that don't really have anything to do with Kungstorget. The first one is a project I'm working on right now, selling things like Hello Kitty bags. There are also some other crazy things that I would have all put in a single sentence except that I need to get more words in between like So So Happy dinosaur hoodies, and yet again I need to do a little more padding without really adding any meaningful content right here, but anyway to get back on topic, the very popular and trendy Tokidoki bags, and other such items. In order to make the project work, I have to spread some links around so that they can be picked up by automated programs.
Seriously how much meaningless stuff can you write about before you hit on anything important or real, it just boggles the mind. It's harder than it looks, especially if you don't want to repeat yourself too much. And let's face it, writing about Hello Kitty or womens apparel and bags isn't my cup of tea. I do it just because I have some crazy master plan that will hopefully work out in the end. An example of spreading the word out is with this hello kitty twitter account that does nothing all that useful in itself.
And again I have to add more words in here, so what should I ramble on about next? Speaking of rambling, there's Tokisoki's line of bags called Ramblers. How fitting. There are lots of Hello Kitty bags too, including designs such as the famous kitty with a mustache, dressed up as a monster, a prowler, being surrounded by sequins, dressing up like a cactus (which by the way Tokidoki also does with their Sandy character), and other weird things. It does however also point to the project's blog, which has a lot of useful info about the merchandise we sell such as stories about Hello Kitty iPhone covers and Hello Kitty bags. Actually I don't know if those two links are too closely situated together, but oh well I have to keep it at least a little random.
It feels a bit disengenious to be writing such drivel just to get these URLs out, but it has to be done. You have to pay for the bills somehow right? Speaking of paying the bills, our best seller, or at least one of our best sellers are the Loungefly Hello Kitty patent embossed handbags. To be honest I don't really care about any of this stuff... I am a guy afterall... but the whole idea of running an online store is pretty cool. It's kinda like playing Sim City except that the money & problems are real. Or rather I should say that the repercussions of making mistakes are real. In SimCity if you mess up, you can always start over again or enter that horribly tedious cheat code to get free credits or other things. I remember there was also a code to cause natural disasters such as earthquakes or tornados, which was always fun. Sometimes I set off many disasters one after another, just to watch the city burn and crumble. I also liked to build cities with just one house, and sit back and watch the population grow to several thousand people in just one home. Ah, how I miss SimCity, it was a fun game. But anyway, I suppose I should get back on topic.
This is one game I better not mess up! Speaking of games, we also carry Scrabble tshirts for men and women. Just thought I'd throw that out there. I actually wanted to make that a clickable link but there are too many links on this page and I have to remove some of them. Maybe I should write some more about how much I love SimCity. Speaking of that classic game, did you know there's a Hello Kitty tote bag that's called Kitty City, and kinda looks like a street view of Sim City? Another thing that I just realized is that the original Grand Theft Auto game kinda looks like Sim City too, except that it was a lot more fun.
As for stuff I could be more interested in, we have some really cool designer flash drives by Mimobot. I'm not really into the Star Wars flash drives, but I think that the Transformers or Batman memory sticks are pretty damn cool. You see, I would have made the Transformers and Batman texts clickable too but I can't let the density get too high. If you really want to see them for yourself, you'll just have to browse around at our store and find them for yourself.
And I suppose I should throw in a paragraph without any links at all, just to keep things a little unpredicable. Cucumber. Yeah that's right, I was tempted to utter a different word but I think I have to keep it a little more PG. You know I really don't like this at all. Kungstorget.nu used to always be so clean & organized, and now I kinda have to sell my soul just to make this business work. I really hope it's worth it, but you better believe that as soon as I can, I'm going to make kungstorget nice and clean again.
As for actual apparel for men, my favourite are the Tokidoki tshirts for men. It contains some cool designs such as the typical tattoo-like tokidoki art, but also there's now a collaboration with Marvel Comics to have some Marvel characters like Wolverine or Magneto drawn up in the Tokidoki style. Well at least it's supposed to be in the tokidoki style; it doesn't quite look like that to me. I mean, if you have a tokidoki drawing of Storm, wouldn't you expect some hot babe with tornadoes and lightning bolts for tattoos? Not some bobble headed childrens illustration, but that's just my opinion, and it's not an official opinion.
Oh and here we go again. I have to write something more because there's yet another reference I need to add. What can I talk about this time? Actually all of this para is just for adding something about another pinterest board, which was just made. This one will have a ton of pins across many boards, more than what we can do with our official pinterest name. It's just a matter of hammering away and adding all these things. I suppose that I can add one more sentence to round off this area. There it goes, now all is good.
Seriously, women have a lot more choices at this online store. They can shop for a local L.A. favourite, Angry Little Girls, for example. I personally found their humor to get old quick, but then again I'm not some grumpy girl. On the flip side, I don't think that it would ever have been possible to make an Angry Little Boys line, with equally disparraging remarks against the female gender. If that were done, it would have been burned at the stake for being sexist and offensive. But that's how inequality reigns in our culture, where the men have to always be self-depreciating and somehow always wrong and put down. As you can imagine, it's not something I agree with. I always laugh every time I see a scene in a movie where some woman slaps a guy, and there are no repercussions except that the guy is somehow wrong. You'd never see a scene in any popular hollywood movie where a woman gets slapped & she's considered in the wrong. If such violence is considered unaccepted towards one gender, then it should be unacceptable to both genders. But anyway, that's all I have to say about Angry Little Girls by Lela Lee.
To once again get back on topic, women can shop for jewelry by Tarina Tarantino, which includes things like Hello Kitty bracelets, Alice in Wonderland rings, and Wizard of Oz necklaces. Looking back at it, I probably should have put a little bit more text in between all those links but oh well I'm sure it'll be good enough. In actuality, I did look back & removed a lot of URLs from there. I wish I could keep them, but oh well that's how the ball bounces (or whatever the proper phrase is). But seriously though, the jewelry by Tarina Tarantino is pretty cool.
And yet again I'll insert another section of nothingness just to space things out. So much of my daily life is writing about Hello Kitty this and Hello Kitty that, that it gets tiring. Seriously, why couldn't we specialize in Leg Avenue stuff instead. That would be more agreeable for me to spend all day working on. They need to send me some catalogs and such.
Oh yeah I even made a Polyvore page just for this project, how's that for dedication? It's not really meant to be all that pretty, it's just there to get our links out for the programs that are snooping around. I guess it's actually ending up looking not that bad, and I suppose I should work on making the Polyvore sets and collections look good. Some people are following it, and who knows, I might be able to convert them to customers. Quality over quantity, that's the name of the game. But quality takes time and work, and this feels like endless writing that will never end. Polyvore Hello Kitty and Tokidoki, I just wanted to end the paragraph with that.
It's a heck of a lot of work to maintain all these things though. We also have a Pinterest account for this project, but at least the Pinterest boards are maintained better to accurately reflect the company. That first link in this section is for my unofficial blog, where I ramble on about more pointless words just like I did here except that it hopefully remains a little bit more on topic. Each post that I make on that blog will hopefully be somewhere around 400-600 words long. It feels just like I'm back in college, where I use some sort of reference material and regurgitate it in a report. Except that nowadays, wikipedia exists and it makes such things so much easier. For those of you who have had wikipedia available for your school papers, you don't know how easy you have it. Back in my day, I had to go to the library & search for reference books to read, then reference them. We didn't even have an effective internet back then, so online searches and references just didn't exist. At least I wasn't in the generation that uses sliderules and abacuses for math.
I've been writing all this text that I sure hope no one wasted their time reading, and I haven't even mentioned the name of the company yet. Well it's Happy Six, and it's been around since 2002. That's a long time, isn't it? Well I think that's all the BS I can write for now, but I suppose I should add to it later when I need to add more URLs. So long!
OMG here we go again, I made yet another blog so I need to add more text to the bottom of this long rant so that I can insert a link. This next one is about cute stuff, and I was really grasping for straws when writing this one. But it's done being built, and now all I have to do is write a lot of stuff! Seriously, this never ends. I really hope it pays off in the end.
Well I'm not really going to put the link in the above paragraph because I want to make it a little more random. Speaking of random, I'm watching the news right now and there was an article about something happening in Baldwin Park. That place is always full of something happening. Seriously, I wouldn't want to live there. Oh will you look at that, BOO! Cute Hello Kitty stuff and etcetera!
And just like that, I'm done for now!
